Voltaire said “to learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize. Former mayor Rudy Giuliani has never been afraid to speak up. This week he has given voice to things many American people have already awakened to. But many have not and Giuliani has a bully pulpit he has not used often enough.
Giuliani did something conservatives should have been doing all along. He has taken control of the dialogue and put the left on the defensive. Hurray for Giuliani. All Giuliani did was verbalize things Obama has been making crystal clear through his actions. In the process Giuliani has given the bullies a taste of their own medicine, leaving progressives whizzing around the room like fully inflated balloons released without tying off. Those who wouldn’t be caught dead criticizing their great leader have hit the chat and comment rooms to wail over Giuliani’s remarks and the comments of other conservative citizens.
Former Mayor Giuliani’s speaking truth to power is so foreign to progressive/liberals, they are stunned when they hear the press speaking of things they thought were buried in dark little holes. One of the things the left was most upset about in Giuliani’s speech is they don’t want Obama’s connections to Communism and socialism brought out. His connections and support of radicals like Stokely Carmichael were as embarrassing as his connection to Frank Davis. Some things are best left buried.There are far too few Giuliani’s in the Republican party. The problem I have always had with Republicans is they are like the bullied kids in school who pick their glasses off the ground, put them on their collective noses and go off to study hall to prepare for the next test while they nurse their wounds. They are not only afraid the bullies will retaliate if they stand up for themselves, they are afraid the other kids won’t like them if they do.
When a new breed of conservatives arrived in the form of the Tea Party, establishment Republicans were astounded and threatened. Fear ran through their minds: What if these new people stir up the liberal bullies? The bullies are bad enough as it is. Let’s not provoke them. We might get hurt. When establishment Republicans prevailed in the pick of a candidate for the presidency in the last election, they made sure they picked the nerd that would not make waves.
He didn’t
They lost.
When bullies go off to study hall, the only book they have under their arm is Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. Their manual instructs them to isolate (cut of from the herd) their targets, and attack, attack, attack. Alinsky taught that truth has no relevancy as a weapon of attack, so socialists and leftists should avoid issues they cannot win on empirical facts. Instead they are instructed to make the attacks so personal, the enemy will be destroyed. Their disciples are taught that the important thing is to repeat your lies often enough to stick in the minds of people who don’t dig too deeply for the truth.
The left destroyed careers of former Speaker Tom DeLay of Texas and Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska using Alinski’s tried and true method. By the time DeLay and Stevens were acquitted in courts of law, the damage was irreversible. In Alaska the goal of substituting Democrat Mark Begich for Republican Ted Stevens was a fait accompli that would last for six years.
Stealing Ted Steven’s seat, creative vote counting to substitute Al Franken for the announced winner in Minnesota are only two examples of the “by hook or by crook” way of securing the voting majority. Alinsky directs that the ends justify the means. Unfortunately the wins only lasted until people began to wake up and then the tide turned. The left could see the only way to avoid these unfortunate periods of getting an election shellacking is to offset the votes of intelligent, informed voters through the importation of undocumented residents (aka illegal aliens)(aka Democrat voters). After a judge halted Obama’s run-a-way immigration import plan, Obama has stated he will ignore the judge’s injunction (just as he ignored judges injunctions during the oil spill off Louisiana).
The same tactics used against DeLay and Stevens (and Sarah Palin) are now being employed against former Texas Governor Rick Perry. The left could care less if they send Perry to jail. They consider him such a threat that if they can keep him mired in defending himself, he will be too busy and too short of resources to make it to the. Perry’s success at running Texas makes such a contrast to the condition of most blue states, that voters must be distracted so they will not notice. Another possible presidential candidate Governor Walker of Wisconsin has suffered similar attacks almost from the time he took office as governor. Like Perry, his impressive successes at running his state are going to bring out the worst attacks the left can muster.
Giuliani did not need to manufacture Alinsky-style false material to use in his observations. The things Giuliani spoke off have been well documented over and over again, but suppressed by the national media.
As part of their Alinsky directed personal attacks, the party faithful, from Obama to Maxine Waters have hurled the worst adjectives possible at their opponents. Obama has actually described conservative as “enemies”.
Obama apologizes over and over and all through the world for this country, yet Democrats diss Giuliani for taking note of what they are doing? The press certainly doesn’t get their panties in a bunch when conservatives, Christian and the right are targets, yet they swoon when Giuliani calls a spade a spade. This is not justice. Conservatives and Christians are being treated unequally and we demand our rights. (just wanted my liberal friends to spend a few minutes with the shoe is on the other foot).
Voters should note that Hillary Clinton wrote her college thesis on Alinsky’s methods and the only classes I have been able to identify that Obama taught as an assistant professor involved Alinsky methods and leftist philosophy.
